Lyon
Counseling Associates, P.C. has been serving the Greater Lansing
Area
since 1979. Keith E. Lyon PhD and Ann Forster Lyon, M.S.W., ACSW
have
worked together as a clinical team since 1968 when they were house
parents
in a halfway house for patients exiting the State Hospital system
in
Massachusetts
Dr.
Lyon received his BA from Kalamazoo College in 1968 and his PhD
in 1975
from the Clinical Psychology program at Michigan State University.
For four
years he coordinated child and adolescent services at the Shiawassee
County
CMH Center, leaving that position to devote full time to private
practice.
Mrs. Lyon received her BA from Kalamazoo College and her Masters
in Social
Work in 1973 from Michigan State University. In 1988 she was awarded
the
Diplomate in Clinical Social Work. She assumed the position of Senior
Mental
Health Therapist at Clinton County Counseling Center, as well as
Field
Supervisor for the MSU School of Social Work, prior to entering private
practice.
For
the past twenty-five years, Keith and Ann have presented programs
to
various community groups, churches and the public schools. In
the course of
their work, they have developed Partnering© as a framework for
enhancing a
couple’s communication, connection and enjoyment.
Dr.
and Mrs. Lyon maintain their own clinical caseloads as well
as having a
specialty in couples counseling and relationship coaching. They
are fully
credentialed in their respective disciplines as well as being
Certified Marriage Counselors in the State of Michigan.
